Here is what I asked a vendor regarding a2x54 Watt T5 Tek Retrokit 46.5".
"I have a 75 gal saltwater tank with a coralife pc hood 2-65w 10k, 2-65w actinic, and 2 fans. Would this retro kit work adding it to my oak canopy, 48x18x5 to supplement it...........Thanks."
Does this answer give me the most lighting for my arrangement?
"Thanks for your email, you can definitely add T5s for supplementation. Just make sure the width of your tank has ample room to fit the fixture + T5’s without blocking. You may also want to switch out the actinic PC’s – go with all 10K’s for PC’s and use the T5’s purely as actinic supplementation."
Thanks.

Actually your vendor has it bassackwords. Use the T5's for your day lighting, actually get the aquablue lamps. they are a 60/40 daylight/actinic that puts out a crisp white light with a hint of blue rated around 11000K. They have the highest PAR output of any of the T5 lamps and T5's have more punch than PC's so you want to use them with the lights that are best for your corals. Keep your current PC setup as is and see how it looks.
