i have a 90 gallon fish only tank. right now i only have 2 white flourescent light running about 8 hours a day. can i also have a blue, i think its called an ascentic, light at night so when the white light isnt on i can still see my fish.

Sure can , it won't hurt a thing , Also The real cool thing about having actinic lights is that the colors of you fish will look really wild .....

I know that for corals having the light on all night is bad. It probably isn't so much of a problem with a FO tank but it may stress out the fish a little. You could probably leave them on for a longer time but you should provide a time of darkness so that your more nocturnal pets can come out and the fish can have a sleep cycle.
