Lighting?

I have a 38 gallon tank with 10,000k metal hylide and 2 65watt compact actinics. How long should the lights be on? what kind of cycle, right now i have the metal hylide on for 10 hrs and actinics on for 12 hrs.

The cycle is fine, but you probably only need to do 8/10 hours, instead of 10/12.
