what shall i do
what shall i do
i very much need to do something about my lighting. It can't be very expensive though for i need to upgrade two tanks my small 20 gallon and my 55 gallon agressive. I have recently been experiencing some major algae blooms. and they are not good. and does anybody know of a efficient way to get rid or major algae. and what is all or your opinions of the prizm skimmer
just like to know.

Prism's are good,considering what they are.(a cheap skimmer).They should work well on your tanks if they are not overstocked....Algae blooms are usually caused by two things.Poor water quality,or poor lighting...POOR WATER QUALITY can be caused by a number of things.Overfeeding,overstocking,lack of proper filteration,Lack of water changes...Lighting could also be the culprit here.What kind of lighting do you have?? How old are the bulbs?? If you have old bulbs,or the bulbs are not aquarium bulbs this could be the problem....To properly answer your question,,,WE NEED MORE INFO ABOUT YOUR SETUP......(lighting,filter,water readings(ammo,nitrite,nitrate,Ph,temp,Phosphate)# of and what kind of fish....
