Lighting??

I am interested in switching my fowlr tanks to reef tanks. I have a few question. What kind of lights should i get for each tank? I want to keep mushrooms and polyps mostly. I would also like to know a good place to buy my lights from on-line.
In my 26 gallon tank i have these small starfish, I heard they are not reef safe is this true? The 26 gallon is a bowfront, would i need to buy special lights to fit the shape of my tank???

If you are using a tank only with no sump, I would not go mh for mushroom and polups, I would go power compact, look online for the deminitions, less heat and more than enough light than you would need, they have these 18" 96 watt badddd a--- lights now, you could keep up to sps corals under those, less heat than mh in your water, that will be a concern for a reef, not only total high temp but also temp swing from lights on to lights off.
