At work, we have a 55 fowlr, which is slowling turning into a reef
The problem I have is lights. Currntly we have 2 NO flos. one actinic and one 10,000
I just picked up a double ballast kit to add 2 more flos, NOw the question I have is:
I plan on havein 2 actinics and 2 other bulbs, one of which will be 10,000(probably)
Now for the other one shoudl i make it 2 x 10,000k or one and a 15 or 20,000
or even both 15 or 20,000k? I do not quite understand the ratings completely. but want a nice bright tank Would the 15 or 20,000 be too yellow or something, I want bright white. The 2 actincs will be on their own timer of course, as will the 2 other bulbs

i was going to ask this same exact question, i have 4 NO
2- Actinic
1- 50/50 Actinic/6000
1 10,000 k
the 50 50 is about to be usless. and was wondering what to replace it with. thinkin another 10,000 or a 20,000? the 50 50 worked good all shrooms, star polyps, clove polys, all did good would changing to different light freak them out?

I have always liked the 10K bulbs when supplemented by actinics. I would not mix too many bulbs around, makes it harder when it comes time for replacment.

after some researchand help form you guys and broomer
I have decided ot get 2 x 10, 000k
my one lfs loaned me a set of 6500 kelvin to try with a 10, 000 and 2 actinics but did not like the look(too yellow). I like the looks of it better with one 10, 000 then with one and a 6500
And from what I have heard, teh 20,000k would be even more blue, esp with 2 actinics already.
Tanks again guys
