Lighting

I am in getting ready to purchase a 90 gal tank, I want to set it up with LRFO. Can someone tell what the best lighting for this set-up would be? And are their brands of lighting that are better then others? I thought I might get a better deal buying the light kit on-line. My final question, would the lighting I need for this set-up be ok to add inverts.. Any info would be great..Thanks

I just installed the 48" CoraLife Aqualights (4x65w PC) a couple of weeks ago, and absolutely love them!
Do a search on ---- for the best prices -- I only paid $180 for mine. ;)

if you're not planning to have corals then you're pretty flexible in the lighting you could get. if you are intending to keep live rock i wouldn't get totally junky lighting however, cause you may have some interesting things (that need light to survive) hitch-hike a ride into your tank on the rock. What I'd suggest you get is a lighting system with VHO bulbs--perhaps a hood with 4x48" (your tank is 48" long right?) VHO's which would be 440 watts of light. That will sustain most things that might hitch a ride into your tank on live rock (and actually be able to sustain most low-med light corals if you get the urge), and then if you ever decide you want a reef you could use the VHO's as a suppliment to metal halide lighting.
