white coral.. is coral.. that has died
there is alot of controversy about wether it grows in stronglights or shaded areas imo it is more than just light i notice that when i add magnesium and iodine it grows a lot quicker than without it
also a quick way to get it to spread is to scrub it with a toothbrush or put it in front of a power head or both what this does is makes the spores spread
if you are gonna buy new lights than do it right and if you have the monney but mh lights (metal hallide) a great sight to buy reef lights is cooltouchlighting.com and hellolights.com
