I am setting up a 25g reef and have a question on lights. I bought 1 150w MH and 2 55W PC's. A friend on mine wants to trade a 4 bulb 24" VHO set up. My investment is basiclty equal to his and both lights are new in box. What light would you prefer.:notsure:

Don't do it! Your setup sounds a lot nicer than his. Keep the halides.

I have a chiller to control temp. I am concerned about having to top off a ton due to the halide. The VHO is is 300w and will run cooler. I can't make up my mind.

Yeah - unless you don't want anything but some softies and fish .... I love my VHO - but they still heat up the water. Build a top-off drip container and drip it regularly and keep the MH!!
