lights 24/7 ?

just out of curiousity i have a 125 reef which has a lot of fish in it and currently i only have 2-double strip lights with one actinic and one normal bulb if i got another strip and put 2 actinic bulbs would it be overly stressfull or detrimental to the tank to leave the strip with only actinic bulbs on at night? i only ask because it seems like it would supplement corraline and coral growth and its not bright so i wouldnt imagine it would severly stress the fish

24/7 is ill advised. Even fish and critters must have a natural day/night period as we try to recreate their natural environment.

If you did this,That green hair that is in your tank now would quickly be the only thing you will be able too see in the tank...

The sun does not stay up for 24 hours so I dont think I would leave any lights on for 24 hours. Not even actinic.

I wouldn't advise 24 hour lighting in your tank, cuz you would surely get an algae bloom.

i wouldn't leave the lights on and thats most likely not enough for a flown blown reef
