Lights and Protein skimmer help

I am planning on setting up a 40 gallon tank but I want to get the lights before I buy the tank. I am looking for some direction on what lights to go with. I am planning on keeping some corals, I used PC lighting on my old tank but I may switch to T5 or LED on this one. I am not looking to break the bank but I want something that is well made. i am going to be hanging them from above the tank. I also need to find a skimmer for the tank that can hang on back or in the tank.. I will have no sump. Any suggestions are welcomed. Thanks!

I went with LED because replacing bulbs at $30 plus a pop every year will add up. Plus you will get shimmer with LED which is really cool looking. They run cooler and less on your electric bill.

only prob i can think of with that light is there is no acrylic protector for the bulbs from salt creep....u would have to wipe them down constantly and let em cool down first!
Honestly its gonna cost a small fortune lol....but LED is the way to go imho...
Also look at CPR HOB skimmers! It was my 1st real skimmer and it works like a champ...also remoraC or octopus
