Halcyondiver has offered me his canopy when he finishes making his new one. I saw the lighting originally and got some ideas from it, but am wondering a few things.
If i were to go MH or T5, websites list "retro kits". I'm assuming these are basically the guts out of the combo setups that are sold.
so say i wanted to build a t5 canopy, i would have to get :
OR just buy a kit like:
I assume the balast works like a normal flourescent light in an office, but probably shouldn't be mounted in the canopy for water reasons?
To build a MH canopy, i would have to get something like:
or
or go totally crazy and buy everything seperately? and some balasts will control two mh's? then i could put some t5 or PC lights in there to get the coloration from actinics?
