lights for sps and clams

ok i plan to keep sps and different tipes of clams of all kinds. as off now i have 2 175 mh 10k and 2 40w atinics and 1 40w day light. now i plan to remove the no bulbs and add 2 or 3 96w atinic pcs. i don't want the vho since they have to be replaced after 6 months. does any one tink that will be good enough i can also trow in another 250 mh 10k. or does the set up that i have is good.

I would suggest you upgrade to at least two 250s, 400s would be better, but it depends on whether or not youll be keeping corals other that sps, things like your budget and heat also play a role. You only have to replace VHO bulbs every six to eight months if your using a tar ballast, on an electronic ballast they will last just as long as PCs. HTH
