Lights on 24 hrs/day

Hey Gang,
Another question, what are the effects if i leave my lights on all the time. I Know the following for sure
1. Increase electrical bill
2. Increase water temperature
3. Burned-out lights faster.
4. Algae formation
excessive light will harm the fish????

It will also increase the chances of your fish getting a disease. Just think if you had to have lights on all day and night. Im sure you would not get as much rest and therefore be more prone to illness. Go to your local hardware store and buy a light timer, they cost about 4 bucks.

Come on! Your fish, who have no eyelids and go into rest state only in darkness, will never sleep with the lights on . Why would you want to do this? Or are you just curious about it?
