lights on or off

WHile i am curing the live rock in my new tank, should I leave my lights off? I have 2x65watts pc (one actinic one 10,000k).
I just checked the ammonia and it is sky high. > 6.2 mg/L
SHould I do a water change?
The tank is about a week old.

let it cycle out before doing a water change....the light issue is a varied one, some say off, some say it doesnt matter, the only thing I think that matters is that it will contribute to algea growth, so maybe a compromise, say for 8 hours or so, that way if anything is alive on the rock it does get some light..Just my opinion...
