about a month ago i upgraded my lights from VHO to the Nova Extreme T5. ever since i put them on the tank, algae has pretty much been a problem. here is the schedule that i use:
9:00am - actinic comes on
10:00am - 10,000K light comes on
8:00pm - 10,000K goes off
9:00pm - actinic goes off
9:00pm - lunar lights on
9:00am - lunar lights off
what changes should i make. i was trying for a 24 hour light cycle, but it obviously is too much.
any help is welcomed

We are running our Antics from 11am till 8pm and the MH from 1pm-6pm and the Moon Lights we only run for a few hours a night. Do we need to bump up the time for the lights some more or is this enough?

Fish only tanks or fish only with live rock really don't need any light. Light in these tanks are simply for the owner's viewing pleasure.
Reef tanks need light as there are a lot of corals and algaes that require photosynthesis to grow. Depending on the corals you have will determine their lighting needs. Do a search for "photoperiod" and see what others have their lights on for.
