if my pc's or 12 inches off the water are they really doing anything....i have 2x400w 20k metal halides, 2x96w and 2x65w...in a 90 reef with about 200 lbs of live rock....just wondering if the pc's were really doing anything other than coloring the water...thanks

12" is a lot, but they are no doubt still helping. You could get more for you money if you lower them, but where they are isn't bad.
