looking for a brighter bulb for my 55 FO currently i have the 2 15w bulbs, don't want the yellow or blue look, just the bright white. do i get 10000k? is there a brighter bulb that will fit in the current strip lights i have? don't have the $ for pc's right now

i found a 1 x 55w pc/cf retrofit, measures 23"L x 4.5"W x 2"D would i be able to take out the existing lights and hardware that are in the factory housings that came with the tank, and replace them with this retrofit? it would all fit except the reflector would be about .25" too long, could i just snip the extra 1/4" off of the reflector?HELP PLEASE!!

yeah you would beable to snip it
most reflectors are made of very thin metal and are easily cut
