One of the most delicate animals we try to keep; require a large mature reef tank as they can not be spot fed. Depending on the species, most require at least 125lbs of LR in a 100g minimum, 6 month old reef. Most will die in a month of acclimation shock (they typically require long acclimations) or in about 18 months of starvation.
Can you post your parameters, and amount of live rock?

"good" for fish or even other inverts is often fatal for these animals.
It is really critical to know more about the parameters so they can be corrected if needed. at a minimum, please post ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH, alkalinity, calcium and specific gravity.
What color is your star? How long did you acclimate it?
