Can someone tell me whether or not you can handle linkia stars? My LFS said the oils from your hands are toxic to them. Thanks.

I've handled mine without problems. I believe though that the debate is inconclusive on how harmful it is to handle them.

Try doing a search on them before you consider purchaseing one. They frequently are doomed to a slow death in most aquariums. Plus its vital to have a long slow drip acclimation.

I've touched mine, and its still doing fine. I was at work when the orange linkia arrived, and asked my girlfriend to take care of it. she said she knew how. Nope she just put it straight in the tank(last time that I ask her). Anyway its been 3 weeks and everything seems fine. Mostly on the glass eating I hope.

xtant... you know if a starfish is eating because their stomach comes out to eat. its stomach is kind of clear yellowish...:notsure: and looks real wrinkled
