I am going to set up a 90 for a lionfish, not sure what kind yet. If I buy a large yellow tang to keep the algae down will he be ok with the lion? Isn't the general rule with a lion to not have anything he can get in his mouth?

I have a beautiful Volitan that is about 6" i want to part with if interested.
He is beautiful!!!
The only reason why i'm getting rid of him is because i was told he was a peacock lion and wouldn't get that big. But he is definetly a volitan. He's now getting darker in color and really fillinbg out.
I have him eating krill and silverslides from a poker stick.
As long as i keep him full he won't go after my smaller fish.
I would be willing just to swap a kole tang or yellow eye tang for him or something along those lines.

would you sell him for the price of one of those fish, I have in laws that live in East Texas, PA. Real close to you.

sound awesome!!! Real fair deal. I am getting ready to set up my tank for him and then after it cycles I will get him. Can you hold him for 4-6 weeks? I definitly want him, but want a healthy tank to put him in, he's to beautiful to take chances with.

I'm not going to promise that i'll have him that long.
I was sorta hoping sooner then that.
If i still have him then, we'll do the deal.

whats a reasonable time frame for you to hold him? I have a live rock tank with a couple of damsels I can put him in with for now. Theres plenty of rock they can hide behind and be safe.

That would be great, i want to put some smaller fish in and i don't want him eating them all.
I thought when you said you had relation in East Texas, i thought you may have meant they have SW tanks and they were going to take him until you picked it up from them.
I guess i just read too deep into the statement.
ASAP would be better for me.
I'm actually going to Pomptom Plains Sunday, maybe we can meet there?

how about the friday of easter weekend? I will be coming down to drop my wife off for the weekend and can get the fish for my trip home that Friday. Thats in roughyl 2 weeks , does that sound fair? I really want that lion !!

I'm taking him to a guys house in Pompton Plains NJ tomorrow.
He's probably closer to you then i am.
Call me on my cell tomorrow. I'm leaving at 7am and should get to him by 8:30am

I really wanted him but pompton plains is to far out for a fish. Atleast going down to allentown, I would have a reason to go down there. Pompton plains is also further from me then you are, your like 31/2 hours pompton plains is like 41/2. Sorry!

Any chance I could meet you and get the lion this weekend or is he in pompton plains? I am coming down sun to Allentown and leaving Mon am.
