Can these go together? What about nurse sharks and a black tip?
Will the black tip eventually just eat everything else in the tank? :notsure:

It's not for me...it's for my brother.
He has about a 1,000 gallon and has been wanting a balck tip his whole life. He knows that he can only have it for a short period of time before it will outgrow the tank, but right now is trying to weigh the pros/cons.

if he has 1000 gallons he can have alot of other kinds of sharks for life probably. depending on the tank shape. do you know the dimensions????

He's not all that interested with other sharks. In fact, he has a couple nurse sharks and some bamboo sharks right now and he's not so into them. He is willing to give them back to our LFS if he needs to take them out of the tank...
I'm not sure on the exact dimensions, but it's pretty big. It was actually the display tank from one of the local Malls down here in Miami, which he bought after the mall needed to make space for additional vendors - so you can only guess the size. I is a rectangle shape...and I would say it's probably about 8-10 feet long (but I could be WAY off on that)...and then maybe 4 x 4 on width and height.

but what does he plan on doing with a black tip shark after it outgrows a 1,000 gallon tank! its pretty big at that point! How many people are there that would take one and have the environment that they need for them?!?

Yeah, after talking it out we came to the conclusion that the black tip isn't the best idea. The CONS simply outweigh the PROS at this point in time. Oh Well...

His LFS is going to take back a Nurse Shark after it outgrows the tank? What the heck are they going to do with it and curiously how is he going to get a big nurse shark out of the tank, its not like catching a damsel.
