Lion Fish Sick

Hi i have a lion fish that is acting really weird. It seems that it has a couple of white dots on his body one right above his fins. Im not quite sure what it is but i have never noticed it. Is there anything i can do?

make sure hes eating well feed him daily add some garlic extreme or a product simular to his food before feeding I also add selcon to my fish food when thawing (vit suppliment) whatch for new spots could be ich or just air bubbles trapped on the slime coat.proper foods and nutrition can help fight off any illness .be sure to feed him a wide variety in his diet of meaty foods to ensure he gets all nutritional requirements if this is a start of ich good diet ,less stress can help eliminate it without medication if caught on time.keep us posted of any changes and good luck

ok thanks for your help. but i was wondering, i currently feed him ghost shrimp. How many should i feed him?

How long have you had this fish?

Ive had him about 6 months. I turned off the lights because my lfs told me that will help. but when i turned off the lights he imidiately started swimming around again.

lionfish are nocturnal predetors he does need a sw species diet unfortunately feeding just ghost shrimp(a fw species) isnt going to hold him over forever i suggest getting him to feed on dead foods such as silverslides squid shrimp krill other types of meaty foods please chek out aggressive threads also for more feeding choices
