what types of fish would you recommend adding with a lion fish.
Something they wont eat,but something that wont eat or kill them? Thanks

Tangs and large swimming fish are usually good. Never any puffer fish or triggers, and moniter with harlequin tusks (im keeping a close eye on mine) Wrasse are good suggestions, and also bottom dwelling sharks and smaller types of eels, like chainlinks and snowflake eels, cuz bigger ones can still eat lions believe it or not. Its tough having a compatible environment for a lionfish, and u need a large tank as well, but i believe they are worht it.

I've had tangs, various triggers, a snowflake eel, pork puffer, and dogface puffer, and angelfish with my violatan lion.
Just make sure they have some size against the lion and that they are not a fin nipper.

It isnt a good idea to mix them with triggers and puffers though. Some have good luck with it, but most end up with a pretty ripped up, finless lion. It's kinda sad... but you can avoid that if u keep certain fish outta the tank.
