lion in serious distress!

ok,it's now been three weeks since my lion has eaten,all hell do is take the silverside and hold it his mouth for an hour or so and then spit it out.i have checked my water and every thing is ok,and its the only fish in the tank,i need help please,he'sonly 2yrs. old.thanks in advance. A.S.

Don't sweat it. HAs he been eating live for all his life? If he has he may just not eat dead. My lion will not eat dead for anything and he's only a few months old. I've tried everything. I even starved him for 34 day's, before I plopped a live fish in. I tried fish on a stick, the power head thing, even tieing a string around them and making it swim. He'd strike it once, spit it out and never strike it again. good luck

only problem is,isthat i have been feeding him mollies and still the same thing happens,he chases them down then holds it for a while then spits it back out,what about ghost shrimp,or is there enough nutrition there?thanks for the tip.A.S. <img src="graemlins//eek.gif" border="0" alt="[eek]" />

anthem, I tried everything I could think of, and also tried everything that was suggested here. I did give up after 2 months.

thanks for all the replies and tips,I havent been able to reply right away cause i work the most screwed up 12 hour shift,anyway,i got off work this morning and my lion is doing better than last night,before i whent to work he was doing barell rolls and bouncing off rocks,but got home this morning expecting him to be long gone,but instead he is cruz'n along just fine,but still wont eat at all now,wont even try,ive had molly in there for two days now,and all he does is follow him around till he's board with the molly,and goes back to his corner to hang verticly,untill the molly comes around again and its the sme thing over and over again,so i guess i'll just have to wait this one out i guess,and hope he comes out of it,oh by the way he's agood 8 inches or better,so if you say you havent seen lion of this size not want to eat,well this ones not at all now.thanks again every one youve been alot of help since ive been on swf.com.A.S.
