I have in my 55 a red volitan lionfish, huma trigger, snowflake moray, dragon blenny, emerald crab, and live rock. I'm new to the whole saltwater tanks, and I've had mine for about 3 months. A few weeks ago I lost my blue damsel to a disease in which he didn't eat, got big wart looking bulges on his body, and a pop eye. He finally died, and I noticed it. I hadn;t noticed till it was too late. Everything since then has been in steady decline. My yellow tang died last night, had been gasping for breath, and lost coloration. Now my lion won't eat, the huma and snowflake still eat though. I work at a local pet store, and bought some M2 did the whole double dose thing, and took out the carbon cartiges in my filter. Did that for 2 days...it said repeat every 24 hours. And quit because my fish acted weird, staring into the background, and hardly moving. I then panicked when the yellow tang was on his last leg, laying on the bottom dying. I changed about 15% of the tanks water, put back in the carbon filters, and put the tank back to normal conditions. Since I did that the lion, huma, and others seem more content. However...I've tried everything to get the lion to eat...can you give me any suggestions? He likes feeder guppies, ghost shrimp, and rosys. Before he'd eat 3 in a heart beat...now he cares less. He's really skinny, and I'm worried!
My salinity is at 1.021 it was at that the whole time. My temp is about 80F. At this point the lion hasn't eatin in 2 days.
