Well, I knew it was a matter of time before the rays clumsy bouts around the tank came in contact with the lions spines. It happened Sat. night about 7pm. He got stung twice right beside his mouth. The entire area of about 4 square inches was swollen to about 3 times its natural thickness. The pain I imagine was unreal. He would swim around a few minutes after the incident in a kind of seizure. He didnt eat that night and I tried to feed him again that morning with no avail. All is good now though. He is eating like a champ again, and the swelling and redness has almost subsided. If I could have taken the hit for him, I would have. I love that little guy.
