I havent found a dry food mine would eat yet they dont tend to like smaller floating foods as well as larger portioned meaty foods.for a quick fix if you can get him to eat it cichlid pellets large if you can get him to eat those once in a while youve got it made thats the only dry food even large enough for a lion to concider but next problem is they float .ive always had a family member come stay and care for mine while i go away.good luck and if you find any other option please let me know im always looking for new foods to add to their menue

I have a Dwarf Fuzzy Lion that eats anything that I put in the tank including flake food. the food has to be al least 3/16" for him to be interested in it though. About the only thing he won't eat is mussels in the shell. If I cut them out he eats them.

My lion eats dried krill. I usually soak them for a minute to get them saturated, but he goes right after them. The first few days I put them on a feeding stick and made them dance around. Now he just goes for anything floating around.

I had a lion that would eat freeze dried shrimp. It was actually much better for him than fresh food also since it was packed with nutrients.

I had a volitan lion. It wouldn't start out eating the dried shrimp, but once he got used to me feeding him, he ate the dried shrimp just as fast as the frozen. I have no idea how you'd get them to eat flake food though.
