30 G or 10G is
way too small
for 1 Lion or 1 Puffer.
Please do not try it
You will kill the animals

Perhaps a Dwarf, but that would be it. Nothing else. The name Dwarf is misleading since they still can get to be pretty good size.
Do not quote me on this, but I believe 6 to 8 inches is not unheard of for a dwarf.
If I was going to keep a Lion by itself I would try something cool, but finicky like a Radiata.
They are tough to keep in community tanks, but may work in a tank alone.

They only reach about 4" in captivity. Have you considered a frog fish? That's what I'd get if I wanted just one really cool fish in a 30 gallon. the dwarf lion might be my second choice. Either is very hardy, and could probably do well in the 30 gal. Be careful maintaining the water quality.
