Lions Part 2

So I go to my LFS and (to make a long story short) tell him I was thinking about a Dwarf. He explains how he has had terrible luck with getting them to eat anything but live food. He strongly recommended against it. I told him I would think it over. So I left and went to another lfs to talk with them about it and they said basically the exact same thing. They said if I wanted to raise live food then it would be great, but otherwise plan on it not lasting long (they have tried feeder sticks with almost zero luck). They said there is a 90% chance it won't live. Maybe I'm just not accepting that it isn't meant to be, but I haven't heard such negative things about Dwarfs on this board. Both lfs are very very good and experienced. They have yet to give me advice that has been much different then what is said on this board. I just wondered what everyone thought???
If it isn't meant to be then I won't force it. There are plenty of great fish, but I want some more opinions.

My friend has a dwarf lionfish, and it eats frozen and is great. First all lionfish eat live food, BUT you have to ween them from live to frozen over a period of time.

It is true sometimes it can be hard to get a lion to eat anything but live food but you can get them to switch. It just takes time and alot of you not giveing up. The older the lion the harder. If I were you I would get a young one and go for it. The problem is some lfs feed only live food to the lions, you might want to see if you can find another. Good Luck
