Little E to drive the Number 3 at Daytona?

Not quite sure what DEI would have to do with it. Childers has the rights to number 3 and Jr has the Wrangler contract.

The step-mother doesn't have any say in the usage of the number? I thought she had some sort of legal ownership of the 'image' of Dale Sr. I thought NASCAR 'retired' the number 3 anyways.

NASCAR didn't I remember hearing that childress was talking about running the 3 again. Next year I thought. But I read it a while back so don't remember any details

Big E was a Childress driver. DEI would have nothing to do with the 3. Remember when Jr bolted the 8 stayed with the team, not the driver. If they were going to throw Big E's image on the car I am not even sure DEI would have a say, Terresa Earnhardt would but as far as I know Earnhardt never actually raced for DEI, that's what seems weird.

But she inherited the rights to sr.'s name basically. And the branding of Earnhardt. Not the no 3 branding.

Guys it's the Nationwide series, not Cup
. There's already a black Chevy Silverado with a #3 with DaleSr. style font, in the Truck series, driven by Austin Dillon, the grandson of Richard Childress.

Jr. driving the 3 in Nationwide should really be a non-issue. The thing about Jr. driving the #3 in Cup, would be the teams. If Jr. drove for Childress, or his own team, there wouldn't be an issue. But in no/any/shape/form should the #3 be on a Hendrick car. However this will likely never play out.

Childress can let Jr borrow the 3 for a race, and the guy probably would. But again, I don't see what DEI would have to do with it unless they planned on having a picture of Big E on the car or something.
