A teacher asked her young students what thier fathers did for a living. Typical answers came up, doctor, policeman, salesman. The teacher noticed Johnny was silent.
She said 'Johnny what does your father do for a living?'
Johnny hesitated then replied 'my father works as dancer in a gay bar. He takes off his clothes for other men and if they pay him enough goes out into the alley where they play.'
The teacher was shocked and quickly changed the subject putting the other children to work.
Taking Johnny aside she asked him if what he had said was true.
Facing his teacher Johnny gave in, 'No, he confessed, my Daddy is Keith Brooking. He plays for the Cowboys and I was too embarrassed to say that in front of the other kids.'

true, of course if we hadnt been stupid enough to fall for the herschal wa;lker trade, we very well could have neded up with aikman, smith and Irving, still pisses me off.
No matter how good a player is, its not worth mortgaging your whole draft to get him.
see, walker, and cutler
also take a look at the draft picks since brad childress took over. nothing short of amazing how many are still on the team and how many are starters.
Of course it helps when the likes of Adrian peterson and Percy harvin fall into your laps, but still :)

You guys thought you were one piece away from greatness.
Btw Michael was drafted in 88, Aikman Johnson, and Stepnoski were drafted in 89 and Smith was 90.

The Steelers have won two the past 3 years. The cowboys have won 1 playoff game in 15.

Taht and how many years did the Boys beat the Bills in the Super Bowl or the Broncos. Come on the Bills have not done much since then.

ahh, you're right, irving was allready on the team. well you did get emmitt out of the deal as well as some nice additions to other positions that certainly played a factor.
my point remains that none of those SB's happen for you guys if we didnt fall for the biggest scam in football history. But we did, so im just crying about it now lol
