Little red mushrooms?

i have a red mushroom rock in my tank that is covered in them. they are big and look very healthy and normal. over the last couple weeks there are all these red things that look like mushrooms and they are growing everywhere. Making the tank very ugly. are they in fact mushrooms? or what would they be. They are about the size of an eraser maybe a bit smaller and there are hundreds of them all over the tank. On the sand rocks glass and even the snails and crabs. Please give me some opinion of what they are and what to do.

your probably thinking of either aiptasia/or feather duster worms...
I don't see any other idea..why you'd think it's shrooms???

are you sure its not spots of red algea or maby coraline they both grow on the rock, and can you wipe it of the rocks or glass or is it stuck down, but as said a pic would help.

very possible say one made it into the powerhead and got cut into 100 pieces them pieces would become shrooms
but I would lean towards something else sponge or something?

Looks like coralline algae. Not a problem, actually one of the "glues" that hold the reef together.

its like a redish brown color and is a square/rectangle shape. Its not the purple stuff and it is everywhere on rocks on the purple coraline and the snails just everywhere.

the picture is not clear enough to me to see exactly what it is but maybe red bubble algae? Reminds me when i first started the tank, i had a couple of red mushroom rocks and about two weeks later there were these reddish things popping up all over, i thought they were baby mushrooms but turned out to be red bubble algae.

Geeze they are everywhere. You might want to pick up a sixline wrasse or something else that eats them things.

to treat red flat worms:
syphon out as many as you can , every day for a week.
add salifert flat worm exit, proper dosage.
syphon out dead bodies.
done.

Here is what red flat worms look like, if this is what you have, then treat it ASAP.

Cool little contraption I have seen made, the FlatWorm Vacuum lol

yes i made the same thing. it works amazingly well. i put the bag in the sump and the wand obviously in the tank. continuous sucking power, with no wasted water FTW!
