Little, tiny calcified donuts

Hello All-
We are getting these little rings of calcium stuck to rock, glass and even hermit crab shells. Most of the LR has these cool, white thread-like (actually look like plant roots) feather dusters.
I have 2 thoughts, either some kind if barnacle or the first stages of new feather dusters. Thoughts?

there those spiral snails that everyone has stuck to the glass ect. in everyones tanks. I forget what there called.. there harmless filterfeeders.
Do they look like this?

Those would be Spirobids on the pic you just posted.
