little white wormey things

I've recently noticed that I have these white worm like creatures crawling along the glass of my 55/FO tank. They look like white centipedes. I don't think they are copepods. I have those and they don't look the same. I also have these other white creatures that flail around in the water. These do not look like the creatures on the glass. I usually suck them up with an eye dropper and drop them into my protein skimmer to die. Any clues as to what these things are? Good/Bad?

What are you using for a base? cc or ls, we have ls and we have little white worms crawling in ours, they are good for your tank. LOL Lisa :)

My tank has crushed coral for its base. It's been running since August of last year. The fish are doing fine as well as the snails and hermit crabs. I don't have any live sand or live rock. The last thing I introduced to the tank were the crabs back on 12/3/00. Seems odd that it's taken this long for these creatures to show. They are about 1/4 inch in length.

I have those wormy things in my 125. I do not know what they are, but I have done nothing about them and the tannk is doing fine. Mine come out night when the lights go off.
