little white worms

So in my tank im finding a LOT of little, microscopic-like white worms that are just cruisin' on every side of the tank. Ive had a lot of fish die on me in the last 2 weeks (about 5) some of whom seemed to "rot away" and others who i found the next morning (after no signs of anything bad the night before). Two of them that died have been in there about 4 months, the other within about 3 days. im wondering if this is a cause and if so how to treat it. thanks

Are they just on the side of the tank? Are they on alge? I had the same problem in my old tank, and never figured out what it was. Do they look like little white lice?

What do the worm look like? And do you have a reef tank or a FOWLR?
What are your water readings and how old is the tank?
