well just bought some live copepods for my 55 gallon tank and was wondering if my tank which has been set up for at least a month with 50/50 of live rock and dry rock will be enough to sustain them which will make them colonize in my tank???

Give them rock and a little something to eat (left overs from your fish) and they should do fine as long as your tank has cycled properly. What kind of fish do you have in your tank?
Reason I ask is pods are very appealing as a nice snack for most fish. If you have a fuge on your tank that is a better place for the pods to grow.

Where'd you pick them up? I've been looking to populate my 90gal. I have thousands of microscopic ones, on the glass, but none that I can see on the rocks.

Depends on what your water parameters are? Have you checked ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, etc. lately?
Also...what type of filtration are you running on the tank?

I've never fed mine and I've had tank just LOADED with them! They're extremely good at taking care of leftovers...stuff, in the rocks, that a clean up crew doesn't get.
