Live food?

If I put live food, such as feeder guppies or ghost shrimp in my sw tank, how long would they survive?
And does anyone here raise ghost shrimp in their freshwater tank for food? I'm thinking of trying this..
P.S> With cleaning vacumes, how do they work in sand? Do they pick up the sand with the debre, or is the sand heavy enough not to be sucked up?
Thanks for the replies :)

don't vaccuum the sand,a dn i would nto feed any fw species at all to a sw fish, they are not a good thing to give them, it can and does cause inestinal and liver problems later on, aside from the fact teht they do not have the nutrients your fish need

Hi:
let see guppies...maybe 20-30mins tops.
ghost shrimp..maybe 4-6hrs. (althou i have found some the next morning alive.)
FSH is right on the money, freshwater feeders are NOT a healthy long term food. I would only recommend you fed them until you ween whatever fish onto dead prepared marine foods(maybe 30day tops).
To me ghost shrimp are the best of the FW evils. Interestingly ghost shrimp can also be found in saltwater marshes.

Those are some nice lions. Do you have any full tank pics? Also, how many different species of lion do you have in there?
