Live Plants?

This is a subject I haven't seen discussed on here yet. What do you all think about live plants for a FOWLR tank? I seen Calupera(sp?) for sale the other day, I was just curious if some of the more experienced hobbyists recommends them?

calupera is a good hing, but it can be a major pian in the main tank, it is much better to put it into a refugium, since it can and does get out of control, it helps by removing the nutrients in the water, thus improving water quality
btw, calupera and most plants we use are actually macro algaes

I just discovered the artificial macro algae I bought with a synthetic coral is a Dictyota. Anyone had any experience with the live versions? They're beautiful, would love to have live specimens in my tank
