Live Rock and fish lighting

Hello,
How long should I be running my lights with LR and fish?
I think I have it running around 6 hours, should I slowly up that to say around 8 hours?
Thanks

6 hours doesn't seem a lot really.
For the fish the lighting is just to show them off, they don't benefit in the way corals do.

Good point, I'll up it to around 10-11 hours.
Will a sudden change in lighted hours stress my fish?
I heard it does, but might be hear say.

Hey,
I would change it by about an hour a week until you get them where you want them. Kinda like the change in seasons. Winter has a lot less daylight than summer.
Probably wont stress the fish so much as give you an algae outbreak if you go too fast. The longer lighting period will help your coralline algae.
