weezer: as I said on another thread, you can do that, but what's the rush? Ask any of the successful aquariasts on this forum what is the most important thing they have that has led them to their success, and they will all tell you that it is patience. Trying to rush a tank just gets you into trouble faster. That said, I did add fish with well cured live rock, but I was very careful about how the rock was transported - I brought my own buckets with tank water to keep the rock submerged on the trip home so there wouldn't be any die off.

You still have to cure your cured LR to get your tank stabilzed and your readings correct. DO NOT RUSH adding your fish. Give your rock time to cure more ...

NO!!!!! Do not buy fish the same day that you buy live rock. Many stores claim their rock is cured when it is not so they can charge more for it. Buy the rock, test your parameters. If you are buying a fish to put into your quarantine tank, then yes you can buy at the same time.
