Live rock and live sand

OK I'm new to this but have a 75 gallon tank with 60 lbs of live sand and 47 lbs of live rock. When figuring out if I have enough live rock do I count the live sand which will give me 107 lbs which should be enough or do I need more live rock.
Thanks

Research sand bed depths and types to make sure you are setting your up properly.
No, live sand weight does not add to live rock amount.

Technically speaking you should have at least the same poundage of live rock as the gallons of the tank. So, 75g tank=75lbs of live rock. This is if you are going to use the rock as a biological filter for the tank. And if you are planning on having any herbivores in the tank to graze on the rock. If not, then do you need that much rock? Probably not as long as you have an excellent mechanical filter set-up, and excellent husbandry on keeping the tank clean, (water changes) and not overfeeding. Live rock in my opinion is something that you should have plenty of. Harbors good bacteria, pods, and other small creatures that in turn do the janitorial duty in the tank.
