Live rock changing color??????????????

I have heard eveyone on this ervice talk about the fabled coraline algea growing on live rock and restoring its pretty color. Well my live rock has begun to show tints of blue and green color over the last week and I was wondering if this is coraline, or something bad. It is really pretty and addso color to my tank. If it is bad what should I do????????????

it very wll could be coraline, if it looks almost like a hard coat and slimey(looking when it starts), intead of hairy, it probably is, and it will spread, slowly

Coraline algea is not always purple.Thre is red and all types of shades ranging from blue to purple.

Keep an eye on it. if it is blue green algae you have problems ,get rid of it.
