I am looking at purchasing live rock. Can I have any feedback from you guys on these 2 sites.
Gulfview, and SWF.com. Quality is important to me a bit more than price.

I can just speak from experience, Squid. I originally orderd my LR from SWF.com, and after waiting a week I emailed them and just told them to cancel my order. They explained they were in the process of upgrading their shipping department, so the delay is understandable under those circumstances. Anyway, after I got my money back, I ordered 30# from Gulf-view.com, and I must say I was amazed with the life and the quality. I've never personally seen any rock that comes close to it. There were tons of baby feather dusters, red purple and orange coralline algae, a couple snails, a few sponges, and some tiny soft corals (which died unfortunately due to the harsh cycling of my tank). But regardless, the rock was amazing. The only thing about it was I ordered 30# and it came in four large pieces, so you might want to talk to Dale personally and request smaller sizes if you already have your base rock. I liked the large pieces because they covered enough space in my tank for a base which I will continue to build on. Hope this helps :)

I bought my LR from www.gulf-view.com also, and was very pleased. The rock was not too dense, had tons of corraline algea, and life. I received some crabs, snails, bristle worms, etc. as hitch hikers. The bad side is the rock did come with a big Aptasia critter, but my shrimp took care of him. I would definatley order from there again...

Check this site out. Seems pretty good. They don't disturb natural reefs, they seed their own.

I ordered from SWF.com and was very pleased with the rock I recieved, the time frame and the tracking method they gave me to know where it was with FedEx. When I had a problem with the delivery they answered my e-mail within an hour and had an answer from FedEx within 2 hours. good customer service.
I did a search on this site regarding LR before I ordered my second shipment of LR. Found some interesting info on Walt Smith as a wholesaler to most of the suppliers we order from. I wanted some rock that was different from what I already have so I asked when I called where they get their rock from...interesting replies. I got my second order from Premium Aquatics. Not entirely pleased at first, but I think I will be in the long run. It is large pieces with interesting shapes. It is actually 80 lbs of rock plus the weight of the boxes according to the shipping labels from Airborn Express. It needs to cure, but I am cycling it with a new tank so that was ok with me.
Do a search for Walt Smith on this site and see what you find.
Good luck.

I got some from tbsaltwater. The nice thing about them is they are just 45 min away from me and once a week they are open to the public and you can go in and hand pick what you want. Very nice people and super good prices. With what we got we have started a natural reef from just their rock alone.

The gulf-view coraline is beautiful and the premo-deco is out of this world. I've ordered from ffexpress and have seen all the lfs tanks but nothing compares to it. The only thing I've ordered from swf.com has been corals and reef pkg so I can't compare with them.
