Live rock dilemma..

should i get 50 lbs from flying fish for $170 or 30 from gulf view for 129.99. experiences with both. i also thought about just the thirty lbs and then hand picking my own live rock form lfs. i was thinking about this site but just dont really want to spend 2+ bills

About live rock remember that you get what you pay for 2+ for how many pounds remember it is alot more expencive buying usually at a lfs then on line.. But the benefit at buying at a lfs is that you can hand pick your rock also though. So you have to weigh weither to hand pick or buy by the box with out checking it first

i think you should deffinately consider SWF.com in that group. free shipping and no box charge. i have been pleased with their product in the past.

I am VERY happy with the LR that I got from SWF - lots of coraline algae, life popping out of it all over the place. Definitely consider them.

I just go a 45lbs box of Fiji Premium on sale at ffexpress delivered for about $150.00. The rock was ok and I'm using it as base. But, for display stuff I'm handpicking at my local reefer store.

Gulfview's premo deco is better than anything I have seen at any LFS. You won't find as much life on other rock, whether online or at a store, but you will pay for Gulfviews quality no question.

depending on how you look at it though I guess;
now SWF.com's reef cleaner packets are the best around
