Hello. I was wondering if anyone has bought live rock from this site? They offer $200 for 50 pounds which is a great deal. Anyone?

Have never gotten rock but have ordered inverts amd fish. If the rock is as good as the other stuff, you'll be pleased..

www.***********.com sells 45 lbs of live rock for $150 shipped, it's a sale now. I ordered from there and was very pleased with the quality of packaging and the quality of rock. As much as I would like to support this site my live sand which was ordered from this site was poorly packaged and was partially leaking.
Just my 2 cents.

My reef tank is 100% LR from this site, and I could not have been more pleased. Covered with coraline, no cycle time, got 3 varieties of macoalgae, came with snails, bristles, feather dusters, etc. You don't see all this right away, but just start feeding your tank, and this rock really comes to life!
I also order Keys LS from SWF.com. The quality of sand was excellent. Yes, there was some leakage, hard to package and ship real LS, 40-50lbs plus water weight without some problems. However, the quality of sand was in tact, with lots of water still in packaging to maintain the viability of the sand.

I just want to clarify that I was 100% satisified with the live sand, since I have only ordered this one thing don't judge the rock based on my one instance.

ummmmm, when ordering lr and ls online, you laso need to figure shipping, i guarentee that 99 is over 150 with sshipping added on , i have seen it run from 40 to 90 jsut to ship 45 lbs, and swf's price includes shipping on 50 lbs
as for the rock, i have only heard good from those i know who have bought it here, and nothing bad

www.ffexpress.com offers 45 lb. boxes for $99, add a $56 shipping charge and it's still cheaper than saltwaterfish.com. I have gotten over 300 lbs. from ffexpress, and was very pleased with it, especially how they balanced the rock between large and small pieces rather than give all small pieces.

156 with shipping, that works out to 3.46/lb
199 with shipping(for more rock) works out to 3.99/lb
admittedly BOTH are good deals by far, i am not disputing that , i was just stating ot be sure and factor that, b/c some sites advertise 99 and charge even more for shipping, trust me, i have done all the math, and have shopped around extensively, you can wind up paying more than 10/lb if you are not careful, with the better prices online being between 3.50 and 4.50/ lb(IMO_ anything under 4/lb is a good deal), again just watch for shipping and handling, some places are sneaky with it, especially handling and box charges
not disputing any of your claims, as i said i have shopped myself, just saying for all those who are looking to shop wisely and figure this, myself 20 or 50 more or less is no great deal, but when you are talking a couple 100s more, which some can get to be, then i need a reason to justify it myself
