Live rock mistake?

Just started my 70 gal tank 3 days ago with 30 lbs of LR and 60 lbs of sand. Today I came across a couple moving and was breaking down and selling off rock and fish out of a 300 gal. tank. Tank looked nice fish looked healthy. I bought all of their LR and put about 70 lbs in my tank. Not sure if that was a good idea or not? My tank hasent cycled yet and I see a whole lot of critters in the rock. One that I have read I dont want is the Aiptasia or glass anemone. So what should I do? Leave everything alone and let it cycle or pull that second batch of rock out to kill off the aiptasia? I also here Copperbanded buterflies might control the anemones or a peppermint shrimp. Anyone have any luck with this?:notsure:

Well, as for leaving the rock in there...
You can, if the nitrates and such havent spiked yet then the critters may die. But if you want a fish to eat the aiptasia, I was just talking to a guy in my LFS today about the copperbands and how they will eat that stuff. So no personal experience, but he said they will...hope thats some help.

I was doing some more research this morning, and Ive found that they are not necessarily reef safe. So if you are planning to have a reef tank, you need to keep a close eye on it.

Just buy some joes juice or or use boiling water and squirt it and it should kill it. I have one in my tank I was gonna leave it and let the peppermint shrimp take care of it if they dont then I will myself.

I would leave the rock in the tank and watch my levels carefully. You can control or kill aiptasia with a thick consistency of Kalk and nuke it in the microwave for a bit and then inject it... Works like a charm!!!!! Wouldn't even consider placing a CB in the tank!!!!!! Your months and months away from that point in the game!!!!!
