Live Rock Parasites?

I am a long time Discus keeper currently in the planning stages of starting a FOLR tank. Is it possible to introduce parasites when cycling with cured live rock? If so what can be done about it ? Thanks, love this forum!:happyfish

yes, it is possible to transport parasites thru curing LR. the most common is the mantis shrimp, he can usually be "easily" disposed of. but if ur getting florida rock, then there is this isopod thingy that digs into your fishes' hearts (the only natural predator of the great white shark ) these can be found in other types of rock too, but more commonly in florida....but still pretty rare
