we can't seem to keep any algae or anything growing on our live rock. our tank has been up for over a year. 55 gallons with a 15 gal sump, skimmer, wet/dry filer, temp around 76, critters: royal gramma, 3 damsels, coral banded shrimp, brackish puffer, hermits. we also have had a bad case of the blue/green algae (brick red in color, growing on our glass) we clean the glass every 3 days, but it keeps coming back! please help!

Need more info like cal. and alk. levels. Also ph. nitrate, ect... Red slime algea can be taken care of by a few Mexican Turbo snails very quickly.
