Hey all........
I purchased 45# of Figi for my 55Gal. tank. I am cylcling the tank with the rock. Yesterday I found a shrimp....lobster that was on the floor of my tank eating the stuff that fell from the live rock. If it is a baby mantis shrimp, what do you suggest I do? I am going to try to get a picture of the critter.........but I do not know if he will be there when I get home from work. What do you suggest I do? To help you out it looks like a tiny lobster with a flat like tail (clear...slight brown skin).

Thanks..........I am watching my rock each time I get a chance. It is my frist time curing rock and I am happy that I am doing so. The rock came pre-cured and did not smell at all when it arrived. I have watched the LFS with the rock that they get and it smells....might have not been pre-cured.....or they are just getting so so rock. If you have the pictures that would be a big help. Any other suggestions about curing rock would also be a big help.
Many thanks,
NJBluefish (Mike)

It certainly doesn't sound like a mantis shrimp anyway. It could also be a pistol shrimp (they look very much like little lobsters).
